Privacy Policy

Ivory Software LLC operates SV.GAMES and is the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy says what we collect and why, in the order of how much it matters.

What we collect

• Nothing, to browse. You can search and read every public page without an account and without giving us anything.
• Usage analytics. We use PostHog to count page views and measure which pages are useful. Analytics are configured without cross-site tracking and without advertising identifiers. IP addresses are used to derive an approximate country and are not stored alongside a durable identifier for that purpose.
• Server submissions. If you submit a server you may optionally give us an email address so we can tell you what happened to it. We keep the address, the submitted server details and the time of submission.
• Administrator accounts. Staff accounts store an email address, a password hash and login timestamps.
• Abuse prevention. Request rate and coarse request metadata are held briefly to stop automated abuse of the search endpoint.

What we do not collect

We do not sell personal data, we do not run advertising networks, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other websites.

Data about game servers is not personal data

The bulk of what we publish — server names, addresses, player counts, maps — is infrastructure information published by those servers to anyone who asks. Player names visible in a server’s public query response are not stored in our database.

Legal basis and retention

We rely on legitimate interest to operate and secure the service and to understand aggregate usage, and on your consent where you choose to give us an email address. Submission records are kept while the listing exists and for up to 12 months after. Analytics are retained in aggregated form. Raw crawl history is pruned after 90 days; long-term statistics are aggregates that identify servers, not people.

Processors

We use a small number of providers to run the service: Vultr (hosting, Netherlands), PostHog (analytics), Resend (transactional email), OpenAI (editorial text generation — never fed personal data), and DataForSEO (search-demand research — never fed personal data).

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Residents of California and other US states with similar laws have comparable rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Write to privacy@sv.games and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

International transfers

We are a United States company with hosting in the European Union. Where personal data is transferred to the US it is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses with our processors.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe we have, write to privacy@sv.games and we will delete it.
